Setting up Email in Outlook for Android (IMAP)

Email account setup on Gmail in Android

Step 1 – Download or Open Outlook App

• If not installed, download Microsoft Outlook from the Google Play Store.

• Open the app.
  
  

Step 2 – Tap “Add Account”

• When you open Outlook for the first time, it will prompt you to Add Account.

• If you're already using Outlook, tap the profile icon (top left)
  
  
  
  Click + Add Account icon
  
  
  
  > Add Mail Account.
  
  
  

Step 3 – Enter Your Email Address

• Type in your full email address, e.g., [email protected].

• Tap Continue.
  
  
  

Step 4 – Choose Account Type

• Tap IMAP under "Set up account manually".

Step 5 – Enter IMAP Incoming Mail Settings

• IMAP Hostname: mail.yourdomain.co.zw

• IMAP Port: 993

• Security Type: SSL/TLS

• Username: Your full email address

• Password: Your email password

Step 6 – Enter SMTP Outgoing Mail Settings

• SMTP Hostname: mail.yourdomain.co.zw

• SMTP Port: 465

• Security Type: SSL/TLS

• SMTP Username: Your full email address

Step 7 – Complete Setup

• Tap Sign In or Next to proceed.

• Choose your notification and sync preferences (optional).

• Tap Done.

✅ You’re All Set!

Your email is now configured using IMAP in Outlook on Android. You should start receiving emails shortly.
