Email account setup in the Gmail App (Android)

This guide walks you through configuring your email account (e.g. from One.com or your domain) in the Gmail app on Android using IMAP.

Step-by-Step Instructions

Step 1: Open the Gmail App

• Tap the Gmail icon to launch the app.
  
  

Step 2: Go to Settings

• Tap the three horizontal lines (☰) at the top-left corner.

• Scroll down and tap Settings.
  
  

Step 3: Add Account

• Tap Add account.
  
  

Step 4: Choose Account Type

• Tap Other.
  
  

Step 5: Enter Email Address

• Type your full email address (e.g. [email protected]) and tap Next.
  
  

Step 6: Select IMAP

• Choose IMAP as the account type.
  
  

Step 7: Enter Your Email Password

• Type your email password and tap Next.
  
  

Step 8: Configure Incoming Mail Server

• Server: mail.yourdomain.co.zw 

• Tap Next.
  
  

Step 9: Configure Outgoing Mail Server

• SMTP Server: mail.yourdomain.co.zw
Tap Next.
  
  

Step 10: Account Options

• Set your sync frequency, notifications, and other preferences.

• Tap Next.
  
  

Step 11: You're Done!

• Your account is now added and ready to use.
