What security features are included with domain registration?
By default, domain registration includes no standalone security features if you choose to use external nameservers.
However, when a domain is pointed to Webdev’s default nameservers, which are managed through Cloudflare, the following basic security features are included at no extra cost:
-
DNSSEC: Protects against DNS spoofing and cache poisoning attacks.
-
Basic DDoS protection: Helps mitigate common denial-of-service attacks.
-
CDN and Caching: Improves site speed and performance with globally distributed edge servers.
-
Universal SSL (Flexible SSL): Automatically enables HTTPS for your domain, even without a dedicated SSL certificate.
-
IP Obfuscation: Your server's origin IP is hidden to help prevent direct attacks.
